Phillies Journal - 2006

by Max Blue

Brett Myers was not just bad, he was terrible.
Losing like this to the Mets is unbearable.
Let’s face it – we can never compete
if we play like we have two left feet.
How hot are the Mets? Incomparable.

June 14, 2006. Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
New York – 9, Philadelphia – 3.
WP – Oliver (3-0). LP – Myers (4-3).
HR – Wright (13).
Rollins ( 9).

Mets are sizzlin
balls are whizzen
over, at, around and through
threw everything at them 'cept a shoe...

Like limbo
how low can we go?
we go
and start to glow
and know
that we belong in the show ?
