WHAT’S UP, DOG?

Take a deep breath, fans, it will be a long season,
And here my friends is the reason:
Mad Dog Madson gives up nine in one inning,
his head is a mess—all wheels spinning.
Dog’s first two starts just teasin’?

April 20, 2006. The Bank in Philly.
Washington – 10, Philadelphia – 4.
WP – Traber (1-0), LP – Madson – (1-1)
HR – Nick Johnson -2 (4).

Like running in mud
you fall with a plop
and a thunderous thud.
All systems stop..
Feilding is bad
pitching is worse
hitting is spotty
are we under a curse?
The season is long
and going to get longer
unless we can somehow
get a whole lot stronger...
