Japanese Baseball News: Shinjo to retire

By Glenn Davies,Tokyo Japan. Ex-major leaguer and Sapporo Nippon Ham Fighters centerfielderTsuyoshi Shinjo announced last night that he will retire at the end of the current season. In typical Shinjo style he flashed streaky brilliance on the field with 2HRs in the game and flashed his pearly white teeth for the cameras after. Shinjo is 34 years old and currently batting .177,Shinjo's abilities on the field have been in steady decline since hi return to Japan in 2004.Career Record:
