Mexican League Update..

Let me start by saying hello again everyone, I hope you enjoyed all past winter time baseball activity, the Caribbean series and World baseball Classic won unexpectedly by Japan, coming close to be disqualified, but emerging as the lucky loser all the way down to the tournament title, with a little help from Mexican team , whose victory facing favourite USA team cleared the way through the championship.

An now , going on business,Mexican League has started the 2006 season, with a red hot Monterrey Sultans who remains unbeaten with a 9-0 record led by the explosive hitting of Dominican Angel Peña , who whacked 3 homers this week.

Mexico City Red Devils are 6-4 in the South Division in regardless of an outstanding hitting by OF Roberto Mendez who is batting .471-6-12 in this young season.

Red Devils activated former Orioles catcher, Geronimo Gil who went 3-1 last night against Monterrey ,playing RF

In other roster moves, Oaxaca Warriors activated former Arizona Diamondbacks OF, Doug DeVore who made his debut last night, going deep, taking over Kevin Tolar`s spot .

Sultans activated former KC Royals OF. Dominican Mendy Lopez replacing countrymen pitcher, Isabel Giron

Poza Rica Oilers skipper Carlos Paz is recovering well from a brain stroke that
Have keep him away from activity since the game opener.


Red Devils OF, Victor Bojorquez is sidelined with a broken wrist , expected to be back within a month from now, and has been replaced by Cosme Bernal and now by Geronimo Gil who is scheduled to see some playing time downthere
This team have the “ V Killers “ reminiscing the Astros B Killers, of Biggio and Bagwell, here they are Carlos Valencia,Mario Valdez and Manuel Velez all three from Obregon, as of now only Valencia and Velez are performing.

Mexican League reduced to 4 foreign players allowed to play from previous 6 in last year.
