Big Papi David Ortiz and Adrian Beltre were not playing games at the plate and delivered 2 home runs a piece , powering the star plagues Dominican roster to beat Venzuela 11-5.

They rallied 5 runs to win in th top of the 9th where Beltre`s one man on round tripper contributed to extend the lead and making starting pitcher Bartolo Colon a winner, going 3 scorless inning and allowing 3 hits.

Venezuela were not an easy to beat one, actually they were close to a game tying rally when Florida Marlins star, Miguel Cabrera hit a controversial line drive off the left- center power alley which landen on top of it and was ruled out as a double, driving the Venezuelan 5th run, Cabrera and manager Luis Sojo argued the ruling however the chief umpire confirmed the previous.

Venezuela starter Johan Santana took the loss, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs in a 3.1 innings work

Omar Vizquel, Edgar Alfonzo and Adrian Beltre collected 3 hits apiece, in a game that really build up a great expectation, and it was seen as a Caribean Series continuation, when Venezuela beat DR for the title
