European Baseball News: Paderborn Untouchables win 2005 German League, by Gene Newman
After winning the North Division of the 2005 German League, the Paderborn Untouchables went on to win the playoffs for the 2005 season. The playoffs pit the top four teams each from the North and South Divisions.
First through fourth in the North Division were Paderborn, Solingen Alligators and Bonn Capitals tied for second, and Cologne Cardinals in fourth.
In the South, it was Regensberg Legionare followed by Mainz Athletics and the a tie between Furth Pirates and Heidenheim Heidekopfe.
Following Paderborn (PAD) in the playoffs were Solingen (SOL); Regeneberg (REG); Mainz (MAI); a 3-way tie between Heidenheim (HEI), Bonn (BON and Cologne (COC), with Furth coming in last.
