HERMOSILLO - OBREGON

Naranjeros with Azael Alvarez outpitched Yaquis 2-1 off loser Rigo Loya and stamped Obregon with a painful loss to lower their chances to advance into the play off games
Anyway, it was a good game, both teams allowing 9 hits in which Oscar Villarreal closed things up to get his 5th save of the year

MOCHIS - MAZATLAN

Edgar Quintero home run with one on, and Salvador Robles pitching lead Caρeros to beat Venados 3 -1 off loser Pablo Ochoa.
Adrian Gonzalez singled home the only Venados run in the
Antonio Osuna picked up his 9th save of the year

CULIACAN - GUASAVE

Cottoneers scored 3 runs in the opener to beat Culiacan 4 – 1, with winner Edgar Leyva outpitching loser Alfredo Aceves.
In that inning, Kevin Barker drove one in with a bases loaded walk , infield hit by Mario Valenzuela drove one more and Mario Valdez the third through a sac fly.
Culiacan scored their only run in the 8th , after a Omar Mendoza RBI single

NAVOJOA - MEXICALI

Mayos and Aguilas splitted victories in a double header yesterday, having Navojoa knocking first 9 -1 with Isauro Pineda winning Humberto Cardenas and counting with the support of good hitting from Jesse Gutierrez who whacked his 14th in a year, driving 3 runs in , and from Jon Aceves who singled home another pair of runs-

George Arias for Mexicali hit his 2nd of the year

In the second game Mexicali and Fernando Valenzuela beat Mayos 6-5 , in despite of the fact that Valenzuela allowed 5 runs, however Aguilas were able to secore the winning run in the 5th when Christian Presichi hit a 2 runs home run , his 9th of the year. Closer David Cortes got his 9th save of the year.
Fernando Rios ( 3 ) and Jon Aceves ( 9 ) homered for Navojoa


MEX PAC NOTES

• Doug De Vore the Yaquis clean up hitter left the team when he was having a good season, bating .302 – 6 – 12 in 22 games and is replaced by Hispanic American Mario Delgado a comebacker with Obregon, and a San Diego native who who was drafted by Phillies in the 14th round of 2001 draft and last year played in Carolina League with Frederick Keys an Orioles farm team, hitting 26 HRs third best in the league

• New Florida Marlin, Alfredo Amezaga has improved his hitting and speed this winter with Obregon, however he`s been erratic in SS , leading the league in errors with 14 . Offensively he is in .289 , 4 leading triples and 15 stolen bases in 19 attempts
