Mazatlán Venados left series home beating Orange Growers 5 -1 with a long expected good pitching performance from Pablo Ochoa who went 7 innings , scattering 7 hits and allowing only one Hermosillo run.
He got the support of Pedro Castellano who singled homre two runs in the second inning to take Venados lead, then in the 7th inning they scored another pair of runs , through Heber Gomez `s double, who drove in the pair, all damage done to Edgar Gonzalez.
His homonymous, Venados 3B, collected 2 hits as well as Todd Linden , Roberto Saucedo , but Pedro Castellano who got 3 in the game to keep swinging agood bat since he joined Mazatlan.

In Mochis, two rookies sensations, both Rodriguez , Francisco and Jesus performed a pitching duel , won by Francisco who is now 6 -2 in this season, and shutout Yaquis 3-0-
Calvin Pickering hit homers twice , his 11 and 12 th to tied Ruben Rivera and Mario Valenzuela as top leaders to provide all the support . this rookie needed.
Christian Quintero is at 32 games hitting streak and counting, by collecting 3 hits in the game , but Pickering was the shining star driving home all 3 Cañeros runs., and interesting to say that Yaquis`s Rodriguez outdueled the other , allowing only 5 hits, but all come from these two gentlemen.

Navojoa won series to Guasave, by winning last night 8 -2 with Hansel Izquierod on the mound off Rudy Gonzalez, going 6 innings with 7 hits and 2 runs, getting the help from Oscar Rivera and Scott Chiasson to complete the work.
Norris Hopper and Jose Espinoza drove a couple of runs each, plus Doug Clark hitting a solo shot, his 6th were responsible for 5 of the total Mayos runs.
As for Guasave, Demond Smith (5) and Noe Muñoz (5) went deep.

In Mexicali , Culiacan`s Jaime Trejo making his debut with Tomato Growers singled home the tie breaking run to lead his team to a victory off Mexicali and thus avoiding the sweep.
Reliever Gaudencio Aguirre won, and also reliever Kevin Tolar took the loss.
Ben Francisco who is really hot, smashed his 11th of the year , as for Mexicali Buba Smith whacked his 9th.
Francisco is perfoming very well for Culiacan and he is now at .311 after a slow start

Culiacan announced that Tampa Bay star , Jorge Cantu will join the team next Tuesday as well as suspended pitcher Alfredo Aceves,
