PHILLIES SWEEP NATS- LOSE WILDCARD
There’ll be no postseason for the Phils.
One two many late inning spills.
Give credit to Houston, they won when they must;
left the Phils in the dust,
for us, three years of late-season kills.
Ocotber 2, 2005. RFK Stadium, Washington, D.C.
Philadelphia – 9, Washington – 3.
Rollins finished season with 36-game hitting streak intact.

We did-ent
but we shoulda'...
Than't our lament.
How many did we play
that went the other way...
When we tossed it all away...
Oh well, there IS another day...
Other days don't always come
so do it all right now !!!
Don't wait for luck or skill or some
magical tomorrow to enter with a bow...
October is the time for fun
A pitch a hit or run.
We'll watch while others play and win
And wonder about "what might have been..."
Its been fun...
