Phillies Journal - 2005

BAD LOSS

Ugueth Urbina blew a 3-run 8th inning lead
In the hour of Phillies' greatest need.
The taste of defeat is too bitter,
we could have used one more hitter.
Just when we thought we'd succeed.

September 26, 2005. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA.

New York - 6, Philadelphia - 5.

The game was lost before Ugie,
took the ball and threw like a stooge
see, the momentum did switch on that shady *** pitch that caught J-Roll on helmet and wrist.

Our faith we hold til the end,
get Ugie on the mound again!
For we'll beat up those Muts,
like they're living in huts,
like sad *** Saddam in his ditch.

Wagner was pissed
because he was dissed...
Bone head descisions
cause deep incisions...
in the chances to win...
Its almost a sin
to lose that way...
when the boss screws up, what can you say ?
