2005 season ended with Tigers getting the crown, and one has to recognize those players whose preformance will last hopefully forever, by breaking or setting up new record for this championship series, and here are those.

Let´s begin with series MVP, shortstop JAVIER ROBLES , a professional in all words, who also was the regular season batting champion with an impressive BA of .390, playing in this serie was phenomenal in providing clutch hitting to lead his team in winning crucial games.

INDIVIDUAL PITCHING

Sept. 7th in Puebla Alejandro Armenta, Tigres vs Saltillo,sets a new record of most home runs allowed in a game with 5 , breaking previous one set by Tavo Alvarez pitching for Red Devils 2000 and 2002

TEAM PITCHING

Sept, 1st Tigres set new record by using 10 pitchers in a 9 innings game, breaking previous one set last year by Campeche off Saltillo.

Tigres (10) and Saltillo (6) sets new record of most pitchers used by both teams (16) in a 9 inn. game.
Previous Récord 12: Campeche (8) versus Saltillo (4) i in July 28th, in Saltillo.

Saraperos (16) and Tigres (16), set new record for most pitchers used in two consecutive games (32) .

Saltillo (71) and Tigres (66) , set new record for most hits allowed by two teams (137) in a 6 games series, breaking previous one of 131 tied with various teams, last time tied in 1999 between Mexico City Red Devils and Tigers.

INDIVIDUAL BATTING

Sept. 3rd in Saltillo,Matías Carrillo, Tigres vs Saraperos, tied the record for most hits in a games(5)

Matías Carrillo, Tigres vs Saraperos, also tied the record for most runs scored in one game, (4)

Sept 7th in Puebla, Morgan Burkhart, Saltillo vs Tigres, tied the record for most grounded into doublepaly in a series (4).

Morgan Burkhart, also tied the record for most sac fly in a series (2) .

TEAM BATTING

Sept 3rd in Saltillo ,Saltillo (11) and Tigres (7) set new record for most batters in one inning (3rd), with 18. Previous record was 17

Tigres tied the record for most runs in a game (19)

Tigres (19) and Saraperos (10) set a new record for most runs scored by both teams in a game, with 29. Previous one was, 25 set by Tigres and Red Devils in Sept 21, 2000 in Mexico City.

Saraperos de Saltillo, becomes the FIRST TEAM EVER TO LOSE ALL OF THEIR 6 CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

Tigres (71) and Saltillo (66) set a new record for most Hits by two teams in 6 games series with (137) Breaking out old record of 131 shared by numerous teams, last one to tied up were Tigers and Red Devils, back in 1999.

Saltillo (2) y Tigres (1) tied the record for most sac fly by two teams in a 6 games series with (3)

CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES FACTS

This was 11th ocasion where series ended in 6 games


1950 Unión Laguna Cotton Pickers took on Jalisco Charros.

1966 Tigres defeated Red Devils

1970 Veracruz Eagles got Red Devils.

1972 Córdoba Coffe Growers took on Saltillo

1976 Red Devils beaten Unión Laguna

1984 Yucatán Lions defeated Ciudad Juárez Indians.

1989 Owls of the two Laredos took onYucatán

1992 Tigres got on Owls of the Two Laredos.

2005 Tigres defeated Saltillo.

It was 16th time that 7 runs were scored in a game.

I twas 12th time, that score was 4-3.

It becomes the 4th time, when Tigers got the title by winning the 6th game and with identical 4-3 score-

It was second time when Saltillo lost series in the 6th game. Prior was versus Cordoba ,back in 1972.

Tigres,reached 16 homers in their last 9 championship series games, by hitting 11 in 2005, plus the 5 they connected in last 3 games of 2003 series off Red Devils.

Derek Bryant, as manager have a 11-9 record in final series, while Enrique "Ché" Reyes está 4-2.

Tigres has an overall record of 32-26 and 16-12 as local team, all in final series.

Saltillo has an overall record of 12-24 and 6-13 as visitors all in final series.
