By Carlos Fragoso

Tigers doig what they do best, coming from behind and beat opponentes, made them get the 2005 title, by beating Saltillo Sarape Makers 4-3, with batting champion JAVIER ROBLES hitting a game tying 2 ribbies home run, followed by a GWRBI solo homer by former San Diego Padre and Expo, GUILLERMO VELAZQUEZ whose monster shot over the center field fence gave Tigers this long desired 9th title, as part of their 50th anniversary celebration.
Reliever BAUDEL ZAMBRANo who in the regular season had a 8-0 record, tossed a solid 5 innings scorless relief, allowing only 2 hits, in replacing of starter ALEX ARMENTA who was early rocked by Saltillo´s artillery, allowing 3 runs.
For Saltillo, reliever JOSE MERCEDES was the loser, after being knocked out by the winning homers.

Tigers played only with native players, for the second time of their history, they´ve started back in 1965 under then manager Jose Luis "Chito" Garcia and also get the title, so by getting this also, they are writing history within the mexican league.

They were born in 1955, when Mr. Alejo Peralta the founder of this club, signed American manager Geo Genovese to skip the team, and resulting that season champions. The 2005 season is under his name, in honoring his big contribution he made for mexican baseball.
This year ,his son Carlos who tried to buy the Anaheim Angels last year, is the owner of the 2005 season champions, the Angelopolis Tigers.
