Tigers designated hitters had the power stick, hitting 2 homers one a two ribbies one by TRINIDAD ROBLES and a solo shot by pinch hitter LUIS SUAREZ, hitting for Robles, led Tigers to beat Saltillo 4-1 and get one game shy to the Mexican League title, whcih is now moving home, continuing series on next Wednesday at Puebla.
Winner LUIS CARLOS RIVERA, once a promising RH who played for Atlanta and Baltimore went 5 innings ,allowing 5 hits and one run, a long shot by JAYSON BASS, and 3 more pitchers including closer ADRIAN MANZANO hold up Sarape Maker hitters to a total of 7 hits in the game.
For Saltillo, loser RIGO BELTRAN went 6.2 inning with 7 hits and 3 runs, and closer MIGUEL DUARTE allowed uarezīs home run in the 9th.
MARIO VALENZUELA, kept swinging good bat, collecting 3 of the total 7 collected by his team.
