Pedro Martinez is tough.
Who would have thought Phils treat him rough?

For Brett Myers it was enough.

With 43,000 screaming
the Phil's bats were steaming...
While Myers was streaming
Balls and strikes so demeaning
to the Mets, who they sez
put their hope on Martinez...
It's true as they say,
but not really today...

It's the start of a string
of games that can bring
much excitement and thrills...
that sends foes to the hills.

This kind of playing
will bring others to saying...
"who are these guys" and where did they come from?...
"they made our whole season
frustration and hum drum..."
