STEVE BOURGEOIS inspiring pitching and light hitting, and JORGE LUIS VALLE grand slam combination , made Tijuana Colts dream comes to an end, last night as Saltillo defeated them 8-0 to win the South Division and will face Tigers for the Mexican League title, starting next Tuesday,August 30th.
It was an intense game, and Saltillo winning 1-0 in the bottom of the 5th with two down, Juvenal Ibarra doubled and, rookie Paul Llano struckout with an arguably check swing, and everybody´s temper come out,including the plus 15000 fans attending the Calimax Stadium.
After that, Hugo Castellano´s piching fell down and reliever Julio Cesar Parra, completed allowing Jorge Valle´s grand slam, to freeze Tijuana dream.
Bourgeois, in the other hand, allowed only one hit and fanned 11 Colts to get the victory, and his teammate, MARIO VALENZUELA set up a new record FOR MOST HR´s IN POST SEASON ,BLASTING HIS 10TH inning, and still counting.
Now, Saltillo will travel to Puebla to face the Angelopolis Tigers, starting Tuesday
