Yucatan Lions playing in pain and sorrow because the sudden death of their second catcher and coach, 20 years veteran CARLOS " CAT " GASTELUM, who passed away this morning, started to write history again winning to Tigers 5-1.
Winner JUAN PALAFOX with the support of LUIS ARREDONDO´s 2 ribbies along with, OSVALDO MOREJON who drove a couple of ribbies as well, was good enough to get this important win, and avoided the sweep.
Lions experienced the same situation in previous play offs againts Tabasco, being at any given moment down in series 1-3, and the to overcome that deficit and resuming eliminating Olmecas, let´s if this will happen again.
Gastelum played 20 seasons in LMB, and about the same time in the MEXPAC, known as a good defensive catcher, light hitting,actually was splitting his duties as coach as well, he was 39 years old and his death was ruled after a stroke, this morning while doing some shopping in Merida,Yucatan the state capital city.
A very close friend and compadre of Vinny Castilla, they both grown as starting players, while playing for Obregon Yaquis in the MexPac league. We hope he rest in peace.

Meanwhile in Saltillo, host team Sarape Makers and JOSE MERCEDES shutout Tijuana 8-0 off loser AARON QUIROZ, to tied series up to 2 games apiece.
