ABREU DELIVERS

The pitch to Abreu was fine,
and he ripped it tight to the line.
A double to right,
what a beautiful sight,
scored J-Mike to let Phillies shine.

August 21, 2005. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, PA.
Philadelphia – 4, Pittsburgh – 3.

Eude Brito in his first major league start pitched five innings
and left with a 3-1 lead (Burrell a two-run homer). Rheal Cormier
gave it up fast with four straight hits in the sixth.
Phils begin a 12-game road trip with series in San Francisco,
Arizona, New York, and Washington. Hang onto your hats,
37 games left

Phils win again,
but a concern to be had...
ADDICTION to the pen
could prove to be bad...

Tired arms get that way fast...
If the sparkling play is going to last,
the starters have got to get past
6 0r 7 or the pen may get gassed...

A wore out pen without any ink
can cause a loss without even a blink.
'Specially if games are close as a wink...
The whole season could go down the sink...
