By Carlos Fragoso

Yucatán Lions become only the second team ever in Mexican League history after the 1971 Jalisco Charros under Ben Reyes, who were down 0-3 on a play off series against Saltillo, and come from behind, winning and eliminated the Tabasco Olmecas, 4-0.
This is history, and who else to write it down, but OSCAR "PERFECTO" RIVERA, who went the distance, allowing 5 hits to completed and resumed this series in favor of his team.

Now, Yucatan under manager Puerto Rican Lino Rivera, felt at the sunset of the second half the season to be out of the race, and started to tear the team apart, beginning with then manager Bernie Tatis, who was firedand later hired by Monterrey along with some other key players in order to relax their payroll, however those standing there, remained encouragely enough to be now at the edge of the moonside.

Last night, Rivera was supported by two home runs, one a solo shot by Venezuelan PEDRO CASTELLANO and the other a 2 runs shot by hometown boy, FRANCISCO CERVERA to complete a 3 runs 2nd inning in route to win the series tiebreaker.
JESUS "CHITO" RIOS, a competitor veteran lost this game, the key one, after being the Tabasco workhorse on th Olmecas pitching staff.
