FRANCISCO CORDOVA went 7 innings and his teammates delivered a 6 runs offensive in the 5th inning to beat Tijuana Colts, as Red Devils got their first series win,here at Foro Sol Stadium.
Cordova went 7 innings,allowing 8 hits and 5 runs, fanning 5, when reliever CLAUDIO MORENO come in to set things up for Red Devils.
Tijuana scored one run in the opener, when GEORGE ARIAS doubled home LUIS FIGUEROA, but Devils replied with 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd, drove by MANUEL VELEZ.
GEOREGE ARIAS homered to tied at 2, however Mexico City discharged a 6 runs rally to win the game, where ROBERTO SAUCEDO,ROBERTO MENDEZ,SAUL SOTO and VICTOR BOJORQUEZ singled home one run each.
Tijuana scored three more, through home runs by WILLIE ARANO, LUIS FIGUEROA and JOSE MANUEL ESPINOZA.The losing pitcher HUGO CASTELLANO.
This afternoon, ROBERTO RAMIREZ will go for Red Devils versus AARON QUIROZ.

In Oaxaca, localteam Warriors, led by a walk off grand slam by IVAN CERVANTES led his team to a victory 10-6 off Tigers, to advance in series 2-1.
Cervantes went 5-3 in the game, with 5 ribbies, CHAD MEYERS went 4.2 and 2 ribbies.
WINSTON ABREU the winner, and ADRIAN MANZANO the loser both in relief work.

MIGUEL FLORES singled home CARLOS ORRANTIA with the winning run and made Sultans beat Saltillo 8-7 for the first time in North Division title series.
Monterrey scored twice in the second inning,after a home run by hot hitter LUIS GARCIA who belted his 6th of the post season. Scored 4 more after homer by EDGAR QUINTERO and another shot with 32 on by HEBER GOMEZ.
Saltillo replied with MORGAN BURKHART hitting a solo shot, and JORGE LUIS VALLE a 3 runs home run as well.MAXIMO DE LA ROSA won, while MIGUEL DUARTE lost, for today JOSE MERCEDES for Saltillo will face MAURICIO LARA a surprising decision by manager Bernie Tatis, beacuse Lara has been mainly used as setter, and now will go as starter.

Super Veteran hurler, JESUS RIOS strikes back and beat Yucatan Lions 9-3, suported in the good hitting by local heroe CARLOS SIEVERS who´s 3 runs home runs set the table in favor of Olmecas.
OSCAR "THE PERFECT" RIVERA, went only 0.2 innings allowing 3 hits and 3 runs, and the victim of Sievers homer, lost for Yucatan.
Tabasco who look unbeatable under manager MARIO MENDOZA, are ahead in series 3-0.
Today, Cuban Osvaldo Fernandez will go for Tabasco, while ALFREDO ACEVES for Yucatan.
