Mexico City Red Devils went on to the second round as "lucky loser" in the North Division, so does the Yucatan Lions had to go perfect when RHP OSCAR RIVERA threw the first perfect game ever in the Mex ican League play offs history, by beating Oaxaca Warriors and JUAN QUINTANILLA, 1-0 and gave his team the ticket for the next round of semifinals.
Rivera retired all 27 batters he faced, while his team scattered 7 hits, one of them a home run by his countryside men LUIS ARREDONDO in the second inning, good enough to get the important win.
Both Rivera and Arredondo born in Guaymas, Sonora, also the hometown of San Diego Padres catcher, Miguel Ojeda, so tonight was an "all Guaymas night".Arredondo collected another basehit, to made him be the best hitter of the game along with catcher HECTOR CASTAÑEDA who also got a couple of basehits.
It was second 1-0 won game in a row from Yucatan and off Oaxaca, when yesterday Pedro Castellano singled home the only run in the bottom of the 9th to let Warriors stranded in the field.

In the others series, Tabasco beat Campeche 7-3 with veteran JESUS "CHITO" RIOS defeating FRANCISCO CAMPOS and get them eliminated for the next round , because Oaxaca Warriors will advance as the South Division "lucky loser", because their better run average than Campeche. HR´s apiece by CARLOS SIEVERS ,JULIAN YAN ,DONZEL MCDONALD off Stellar and loser FRANCISCO CAMPOS
were the key to win this game, where veteran Cuban hurler OSVALDO FERNANDEZ shutout any Campeche opportunity with an hermetic relief.

Now, Yucatan will play Tabasco, Tigres will play Oaxaca, while in th North Tijuana will play Red Devils and Monterrey will play Saltillo, beginning in next tuesday August 9th.

It had to be considered that Osacr Rivera's concentration was so deep that nothing to his surroundings would affect him. This should be a major viepoint for Major League scouts.
