07/29/2005 Archived Entry: "Mexican League News : Play Off Fest is on by Saturday Night"

B Carlos Fragoso

Regular season ended up already with some games shortened or delayed by the heavy precipitations we have had, derived from Emily and Gert hurricanes which hit part of the Gulf of Mexico cities, and therefore affecting many of these baseball cities.
However the main hurricane who really hit the mexican baseball was the Tijuana Colts who really performed well enough to led the second half on the north division, playing as well as to now be consider one of the top contenders to the title along with Campeche Pirates and the Angelopolis Tigers, to whom I personally believe, that they will beat Campeche in the south division and Tijuana will pass onto Saltillo, and over Tigersins, in the finals-

Anyway, saturday is the day when the show really begins ones and first play offs round series will start up with the following ones :

NORTH

6th Monclova vs. 1st Tijuana
5th Aguas vs. 2nd Saltillo
4th México vs. 3rd Monterrey
