Tijuana Colts keep their pace in leading the second half, and looks like as to be a sure shot to finished in first place of the overall season scoring the most points of all teams.
Despite of the fact that, losing two of their most powerful weapons in the likes of Randall Simon who signed a big contract with Orix Buffaloes in Japanese League, and Venezuelan clutch hitter Luis Landaeta who apparently suffered a serious injury, that forced him to leave the team, made some others players like George Arias, who slumped a little bit at the beginning of his season, but now is one of the most serious hitting threats, reaching 17 home runs as of today.
Also, second baseman Carlos Valencia who has 28 home runs, one short of the league´s record for a 2B set in 1963 by Moises "Moi" Camacho while playing for Puebla Parrots.

43 Years veteran OF Ricardo Saenz plaing for Monclova, set three leagues record ,last week hitting 5 consecutive home runs in 2 games a record, 4 of them in one game, tying Derek Bryant a manager in Saltillo who did it in 1985, Roy Johnson in 1991 and current San Diego Padre catcher Miguel Ojeda who accomplished that in 2000 , Luis Carlos Garcia in 2005,while also driving 11 runs in, tying Lonnie Sommers record, established in 1949.

In 1957, Williampsort little leagues series suddenly found themselves having an unusual champion, not talking about american teams or far east ones who have dominated this contest, but a humble latin american team representing Mexico, the so called Sultancitos de Monterrey, led by Angel Macias pitching and hitting and Hector Torres who the becomes a major league SS, won the title that year, and repeated in 1958.
Among this team there was an infielder by the name of Jose Maiz, who later become the owner of the Monterrey Sultans professional franchise, and today Williampsort honored his performance and enthroning him into their Hall of Fame, made him the first mexican player to receive this honor.

June 28th was the league´s deadline for trades, and some big names come in and some also come out, like dominican Izzy Alcantara who is now playing for Veracruz Eagles, repalcing Lino Connel.
Cancun Lobstermen in a surprising movement lend manager Juan Jose Pacho to Veracruz for the rest of this season, and cuban Carlos az is taking over as Cancun skipper.
Monclova Steelers activated former major leaguer Jose Alberro, replacing Eddy Ramos, meanwhile
Aguascalientes signed Ben Rivera who was in Laguna.Saltillo activated Hector Almonte and released Eric Owens.
Tijuana signed pitcher Andy Shibilo and slugger Eddy Pearson right before the deadline in replacement of Randall Simon and Luis Landaeta.

Mexican league celebrated their 80th birthday last week honoring, those former greats players.
