MARCO ANTONIO ROMERO pinch hitting home run and NOE MUŅOZ 2 ribbies singled home the winning runs to which Sarape Makers beat Sultans 8-5 in a coming from behind victory and therefore avoiding the sweep.MARIO VALENZULEA kept swinging a good bat, and belted 2 homers to reach 18 in the season and driving 4 runs in,as MORGAN BURKHART smashed his 10th of the year.
Venezuelan EDDY DIAZ (6), 3 runs homer in the 5th, led Yucatan to beat Campeche 6-2, and gave SALVADOR ARELLANO (1-0) the victory and Lions took series on.SCOTT BULLET (10) and BILL SELBY (16) also homered in this game, meanwhile NAT REYES lost the game for Campeche(4-3).
HERNANDO ARREDONDO (3) had a 5-4 game, a homer and 5 ribbies included to lead Tabasco beat Cancun 13-3.JULIAN YAN (17) and CARLOS SIEVERS also contributed with 3 ribbies each, and winner JOEL VARGAS (5-3) went 6 solids innings allowing 3 unearned runs to pick up the win (5-3)while EDUARDO SALGADO (4-7) was the losing pitcher. DOPNZELL MCDONALD also collected 4 hits in the game for Olmecas.
Veracruz scored 5 runs in the 3rd to win over Oaxaca 11 -9 and take this first series to their side, with winning pitcher ISRAEL LOMELI (1-2) in relief, while ELEAZAR MORA (3-1) lost for Warriors.CHAD MEYERS had 4 hits as FELIX JOSE drove 4 runs in the game for Oaxaca.
Between RAUL LOPEZ and JULIO REYES Monclova drove 4 runs to lead Laguna Cowboys to beat Monclova 8-4 , and leave series home.MARTIN GOMEZ (3-2) the winner, as JESUS AURELIO RODRIGUEZ (2-2). LOPEZ alos got his 9th round tripper of the yeat in the 6th off Jaciel Acosta.
EDUARDO RIOS smashed 2 homers to reach a league leading 20 in the year and lead Aguascalientes to beat Tijuana avoiding the sweep, by a score of 14- 3.ENOC RODRIGUEZ (3-0) won this game, while AARON QUIROZ (3-4) lost for Colts, now un der new manager, JUAN JOSE BELLAZETIn who was given the opportunity after being the 3rd base coach under former manager and now Tijuana GM, RAUL CANO.
