No homers for Abreu, Tony LaRussa wouldn’t allow it. Three walks, a single and two stolen bases. No RBIs. Rest easy, Pinkey Whitney, you still share the Phillies record.

5 of last 10 is better than most
In the East, but the ghost
Of the early swoon is the beast
Which keeps the boys mired down in the cellar.
The rest of the East is doing no better
And 5 out 0f 10 is now the trend setter.
Somehow we have to win more than we lose
If we are to be at the top when we choose...
