Chicago and the Negro Leagues

• Chicago American Giants one of original entrants in the Negro National League in 1920
• Rube Foster first President of the Negro National League
• East-West classic held annually at Comiskey Park
• Beauregard Moseley proposed the creation of a Negro League in Chicago in 1910
• Lineups for the Leland Giants included such greats as Walter Ball, Bruce Petway, Pete Hill and Rube Foster
