SAN LUIS POTOSI -- MEXICO CITY

Cactus Pear Growers, coming from behind victory over Red Devils by 10-7 took them downer to the standing behind Tijuana, who won yesterday.
Pinch hitter CARLOS RODRIGUEZ homer off "closer" FRANCISCO CORDOVA (0-3), who remains winningless, with one man and took Devils by surprise and beat them up.
Reliever NESTOR RENOVATO (1-0) won, and GABE MOLINA (39 ,picked up the save.
PAT O´SULLIVAN (3) , SHARNOL ADRIANA (4) for San Luis and RAY MARTINEZ (8) for Devils homered in this game.

ANGELOPOLIS --VERACRUZ

RAFAEL PIŅA (2-2) on the mound with the support of home runs by HECTOR RODRIGUEZ (1), OMAR RAMIREZ (8),FRANCISCO JAVIER VALDEZ (2) and LINO CONNELL (5) beat Tigers 18-5.
JESUS OLAGUE (3-1) lost for Tigers, and GUILLERMO VELZAQUEZ (8) and KEVIN FLORES hit 2 homers.
For Veracruz OF LUIS CARLOS GARCIA had a 3 hits night and now raising his avg. to .415.

CAMPECHE -- CANCUN

DANIEL ESPINO´s grand slam led Cancun to a win 6-4 over Pirates with winner IGNACIO MONTAŅO (4-1) on the mound, while for Campeche ROBERTO BARRADAS took the lost (1-1).
RUBEN RIVERA (8) for Campeche and LIU RODRIGUEZ (4) for Cancun also homered in this game.
Daniel the son of Mexican Great,the late HECTOR ESPINO hit his first.

OAXACA -- PUEBLA

Parrotts kept their winning streaK ,reaching 4 with former 2000 Twins # 1 draft pick ADAM JOHNSON (1-0) on the mound , going 6 innings with 6 hits and 3 runs,to beat Warriors 6-4.
JOSIAS MANZANILLO (2) who is strugling as starter ,picked up the save.

TABASCO --YUCATAN

Olmecas scored 3 runs in th 8th to beat Lions by 7-4 and ended a 5 games losing streak supported on the excelnt pitching of Cuban OSVALDO FERNANDEZ (2-3) who went 7 innings, allowing 9 hits, 4 runs and fanning 5 Lions.
ALFREDO ACEVES (1-4) lost for Yucatan and seems not finding his winning way he used to have diuring winter ball, while pitching for Culiacan.

MONCLOVA -- SALTILLO

HECTOR GARANZUAY hitting and JASON JACOME (2-3) pitching were the winning combo that Steelers used to beat Saltillo 8-4.
Hector went 5-2 with 2 RBI´s a clutch ones to win this game.

MONTERREY -- LAGUNA

Nicaraguan OSVALDO MAIRENA (2-2) on the mound with ABEL MARTINEZ providing all the support he needed with a 3 runs HR, beat Sultans by 6-4.
PABLO OCHOA a former Mets farmhand lost for Monterrey (4-2).

AGUASCALIENTES -- TIJUANA

Colts led by the pitching of winner HUGO CASTELLANOS (1-1) and the red hot hitting kept by CARLOS VALENCIA (7) and JULIO CESAR HERNANDEZ (6) who both hit homers, were enough to beat Railroadmen by 7-2.
Dominican, JUAN FRANCISCO PEŅA (2-2) lost for Aguascalientes from whom EDUARDO RIOS hit his 13th of the season.
With this win,Tijuana climbed to the 5th spot of North division which is led by Monterrey and Saltillo with identical 16 - 11 record.
