Wasington takes series from Atlanta; opens up in RFK tied for first
By Trent Harrison

What a time to live in Montreal. Your Canadiens hockey club has been bussing tables at local cafes to make ends meet, and the other pro team you did have, the Expos, are now in Washington, and winning ballgames. This should teach you a lesson Canucks. Don't turn your back on a pro team during bad times, because you never know how bad you might miss them.
Frank Robinson's scrappy little Nationals gutted out another win yesterday with an 11-4 triumph over the Braves. The score only sound like a rout because the Nat's added six runs in the ninth to seal the deal. Jose Guillen belted two homeruns and four RBI's and starter Tomo Ohka(1-1, 5IP, 4H, 3ER, 6BB, 2K) help himself out of a shaky outing with two hits himself. The Braves Chipper Jones had a homerun, his third of the year, while Andrue Jones and Johnny Estrada had two hits as well for the Braves. Braves starter Jason Thomson went six innings (7H, 4ER, 4BB, 4K) in a losing effort, putting him at 1-1 on the year.
