TIJUANA -- OAXACA

The signing of RANDALL SIMON with Tijuana, by itself was an spectacular announcement, because the quality player he is, he still could be in major leagues, then he started to show his skills and hiitting every pitcher he faces, but last night was it all, when he blasted 3 MONSTER HOME RUNS in Oaxaca to help up his Colts smash Warriors by a scoe of 15-5.
Simon collected 4 hits in a 5-4, 4 RBI´s magic night, and winner CESAR MARTINEZ (1-0),threw 5.1 innings to take the victory, while loser JOEL NAVARRO (0-2) and 6 more reliever could not stop the Colt attack of 19 hits.
EMMANUEL VALDEZ (5) ,CARLOS VALENCIA (1) also homered for Tijuana,while former Dodgers catcher ANGEL PEÑA (2) did it for OAXACA.

SALTILLO -- TABASCO

Saltillo needed 4 pitchers to get this win over OLmecas by 2-1, while for Tabasco Cuban OSVALDO FERNANDEZ (1-1) went the distance but without support, to take the lost.
Relief pitcher MARIO MENDOZA jr.(2-0) the winner, when in the 4th inning RBI singles by MARIO VALENZUELA and CHRISTIAN PRESICHI were all what Sarapae Makers needed to win.

MEXICO CITY --ANGELOPOLIS

Series tied up in this Mexican classic, reminiscing the good old days in the old Seguro Social Stadium, and Tigers defeated Dvils 11-5, supported in 2 HR´s by LUIS MAURICIO SUAREZ, and the good pitching by winner, JESUS OLAGUE (2-0),while RUDY GONZALEZ (1-2) lost for Red Devils.
For Mexico City, SHAMAR ALMEIDA (2),MANUEL VELEZ (3) and ROGELIO COBOS (1) went long ball.

VERACRUZ -- AGUASCALIENTES

Thwe Reds stopped Railroadmen winning streak, beating them 8-2, once again supported by terrific red hot WILLIS OTAÑEZ who enjoyed a 2HR´s, 3 RBI´s game, and helped the winning pitcher,EMIGDIO LOPEZ (1-1) get this victory, while Venezuelan FELIPE LIRA (0-1) took the lost.
Otañez now has 12 round trippers and 20 RBI´s in as little as 54 AB, simply hot. and talking about that, Venezuelan EDUARDO RIOS went 4-3 for Aguascalientes.

YUCATAN -- MONTERREY

RICH DE HART (2-0 ) won, 4-3 over Lions, supported in a 2 RBI HR by DANIEL FORNES ( 1) off losing pitcher IGNACIO FLORES (0-1) to get this important win.maximo de la rosa picked up his 5th save.
SAID GUTIERREZ homerd for Yucatan.

CANCUN -- MONCLOVA

Winner EDWIN HURTADO (1-2) ,finally made it as expected and led his team Monclova to a victory over Lobstermen 8-6.
RICARDO SAENZ (3) and GONZALO MEZA (1) homered for Steelers, while BILL SIMAS picked up the save (1).
HECTOR CHAVARRIA (0-2) lost for Cancun

LAGUNA -- CAMPECHE

HECTOR PAEZ, went 4-2 with 3 RBI´s and a double, to lead his team to a win over Cowboys by a score of 10-7.
Winner J.J ALVAREZ (2-1), and the save for SID MARQUEZ (4), and the loser was CARLOS GARCIA (0-2).
ROBERTO VIZCARRA added a solo homer for Pirates ,his second of the season, while BILL SELBY collected 3 hits in the game.

PUEBLA -- SAN LUIS POTOSI

Puebla´s rally of 4 runs in the 4th, after MANNY MARTINEZ´s triple, led the Parrotts and GUSTAVO FEDERICO (1-0 to a win over San Luis by a score of 8-1.
GILBERTO GONZALEZ (0-1), lost for Puebla, and LORENZO BUELNA (1) hit a home run for them.

MEXICAN LEAGUE BITS

Mexican League in honoring the memory of Pope John Paul II, oredred a moment of silence in all games played last night, and tied a black ribbon to all uniforms to be weared from now and within the next 8 days.

Tigers honored former Manager JOSE LUIS "CHITO" GARCIA, as his Honorary Captain and threw first series game pitch, on Friday, remembering that he was a Champion 40 years ago when Tigers also played with Mexican players only, as today.

OSCAR ROBLES, who despite of a good spring tarining with Dodgers, get his release will come back to Mexican League with Red Devils, his debut is expected for today.

Former big leaguers, CHAD HERMANSEN and ANGEL PEÑA made their debut in this league.

Tigers OF and former Oriole and Diamondback LUIS CARLOS GARCIA, did not signed because a salary dispute, and returned to his hometown Hermosillo.
