BLOWN AGAIN

On May 17 in Colorado Billy Wagner was on the DL for the first time so Tim Worrell took the mound in the ninth with a 6-5 lead. He walked Todd Helton and Vinny Castilla hit a walk-off homerun. Wagner is now on the DL for the second time.

For the second night in a row
Vinny Castilla ruined our show.
Bowa ignored the 42,000-voice shout,
Yo, Larry! Worrell can’t get this guy out!!
A two-run double – one more bitter blow.

Tuesday, August 10, 2004. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia.
Colorado – 5, Philadelphia – 4.

THE JAYBIRD AND I AGREE

Sometimes the Phillies give me the willies...losing two in a row to someone so low (in the standing) the Fightin's are headed for an unhappy landing...
