In Extrainnings Campeche 3, Saltillo 2
For second day in a row, Saltillo and Campeche has to battled 11 innings to win a game, in this case Pirates did it once again 3-2, after a walk off bases loaded walk to Oscar Ramirez off reliever Mario Mendoza Jr.
Francisco Campos Started for Pirates and went 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs and fanning 12, and left the game to reliever Isidro "Sid" Marquez the winner who went the remaining 3 innings, with 2 hits and 3K´s.
For Saltillo Rafael Diaz went 4.2 innings, allowing 6 Bucco´s hits and fanning 4, earning 2 runs,both pitchers left the game tied.
Aaron Quiroz, relieved, for 2.2 nnings with 1 hit, Miguel Duarte 1.2 innings Striking out 5 Pirates, Jorge Luis Garcia and finally the losing pitcher Mario Mendoza Jr. who threw th 11th inning, walking two with two outs ,allowing Emil Brown to score from Third the winning run.
Jayson Bass, hit a Hr for Saltillo to score their first run in the 4th, and Emil Brown replied with the same token in the bottom of the same inning, for Pirates,his 9th in post season play offs
An RBI double by Willis Otañez, put Campeche ahead 2-1, and Saltillo tied the game in the 7th, thanked to a RBI two outs single by Manuel Velez, who is still playing magic defense and hitting clutch.
As expected this was a good pitching concert from both teams, and tonight, Javier e la Hoya will try to extend Campeche´s lead , and for Saltillo, Manager Bryant got disgusted by the umpires decision in last Mendoza´s pitch, an arguable count, to not even announced his pitcher for today.
