The first three teams to advance to second round are Saltillo, Mexico City Devils and Puebla Tigers who left their opponent teams on the road.

Vicente Verdugo had a 3 RBI game, to lead Salltillo to a 5-3 victory over Laguna, and Ignacio Flores tossed an 8 innings solid performance with the help and save of closer Hipolito Pichardo.
Saltillo, a team who always participate in final series, but never got a championships after 30 plus years in the league, is tagged as the favorite to win this year.

In Yucatan, former big leaguer Jose Silva, performed well in a 5 innings work, to lead the devils to a final and decisive game over Lions 10-3, supported in Ray Martinez 4 RBI´s, with a HR, and let the Lions ready for next season.
Alejandro Carrasco, took the loss.

In Puebla, Tigers used as many as 8 pitchers to get this important victory, and take on the Warriors 10-7, after rallying 8 times in the 5 th inning.Baudel Zambrano the winner, and Josmir Romero the loser.

In another games, Puebla Parrotts, get closer to eliminate Aguascalientes, and battled over 11 inning to defeat them 3-2.
A walk off RBI double by Lorenzo Buelna , drove Darrell Sherman in in the bottom of the 11, and Armando Valdez (12 wins in the season), as reliever took the win, for Aguasclientes, Pete Rose Jr, drove the Railmen only two runs with a one man on HR....

In Tijuana, Pablo Joel Ochoa tossed an hermetic pitching, a complete game against Toros, and OF Edgar Quintero went 4-3, with a HR and 5 RBI´s, to lead the Sultans to an advantage over Tijuana, 3-2 in the series.
Edgar Escobedo lost by Toros, and Luis Landaeta scored the only run wit a HR,

Campeche 5-1 over Tabasco to take a lead of 3-1 in the series, supported on Javier de la Hoya, 7 innings game, allowing 4 hits, no runs and 7 K´s.
Vinicio Gonzalez the loser for Tabasco, and Carlos Sievers scored their only run through a HR.

The way the things are today, Tijuana is in advantage to become the "lucky loser", since they have 2 wins vs Tabasco who has only one, and they need to win tonight and tied Toros for that position, otherwise, no matter what the results of next Saltillo-Toros game will be, they both will advance to second round play offs.
Tijuana fans deserves to see their team playing, because they´ve been very supportive to the tema, showing sell out games in each of every game palyed at Toro´s Stadium.
