This Week's Highlight -- June 16, 2004: Hawks Win 9th Straight
The Fukuoka Daiei Hawks extended their lead in the Pacific League to 2 games over the Seibu Lions by winning their 9th consecutive game, a 1-0 victory over the Kintetsu Buffaloes at Fukuoka Dome. Neither team had scored going into the bottom of the 10th, when Daiei pinch-hitter Ryo Yoshimoto delivered a 1-out RBI double to end the contest. (Henry Lu, HLu@BaseballGuru.com)
