Rafael Roque, threw a no hitter against Cancun Lobstermen, in a 7 innings game, the first of a doubleheader played yesterday at Cancun´s Bob Avila Park, the first of the season, sixth of Tigers lifetime in 49 years, third ever thrown in this park, and second against the local team.
An RBI single by Luis Carlos Garcia (Diamondbacks), in the sixth inning driving in the only Tigers run to win the game.
Roque, went out of a jam in the Lobstermen 7th inning with bases loaded, when he fanned Marcus Jensen, and forced Octavio Sandoval to fly out to end the game.He fanned a total of 11.

For the second game, the Lobstermen in retaliation, got a walk off win over Tigers 6-5, thanks to an GWRBI single at the bottom of the seventh, and stopping with this a horrible losing streak of 9 games.
Angel Tovar took the win, and Adrian Manzano (1-2) the loss.
Manny Martinez(5),Javier Robles(3) and Jorge Vazquez (6) all from Tigers went longballs.

VERACRUZ AND TABASCO SPLITTED
Veracruz Eagles won in the first game, 7-3 and Tabasco did it in the second gamme by 8-3.
Eagles rallied 6 times in the 3rd inning to win, 4 runs in the 3rd, while Emigdio Lopez (3-2) 6 innings pitching and reliever Claudio Sanchez,combined to close the game.
In the second, Tabasco overcome a 2-1 deficit,, scoring walk to a victory, Joel Vargas (2-1) was the winner pitcher, and Daniel Castilllo(0-1) , the loser.

MONTERREY AND SAN LUIS ALSO SPLITTED
Th Sultans and Tuna Tree Growers, shared victories in a doubleheader played at Monterrey Park, someone considered the best in Latinamerica,which has been promoted to be a possible future home of the Montreal Expos.
In the first game, Sultans smashed the San Luis pitching scoring 11 runs to get a shutout victory, meanwhile,Rigoberto Loya (4-1), pitched a 3 hits complete game.Loser pitcher was Enrique Quiñoñes 0-3), and by Sultans, Miguel Fllores(2), "Bubba" Smith (7), Scott Bullett (2) and Alfredo Meza (2), got homers.
For the second game, old timer LHP Mercedes Esquer, a former Sultan (a chip from the same stick), 5 innings well enough to get the win by a score of 10-3.For the losers Alberto Manrique 2-1), second baseman Miguel Flores (3) and Roberto Lugo (1), had HR´s.

ARMANDO VALDEZ REMAINS UNDEFEATED AND GOT HIS 1000 K
Armando Valdez, a veteran RHP got his 5th win of the season , by tossing a 5 innings pitching, allowing 3 Saltillo´s runs, while Puebla Parrotts, scored 4 to got the victory over Sarape Makers.
Saltillo went ahead in the fiirst inning scoring 2 runs, with RBI singles by Eduardo Jimenez and Ricardo Saenz in the spikes of Jayson Bass and Kimera Bartee.
However, Puebla reacted scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the 4th, taking advantage of RBI singles by Darrell Sherman, Carlos Villalobos (2), and a sac fly by Albino Contreras.
Aaron Quiroz (2--1), took the loss for Saltillo.
Éduardo Jimenez´s grand slam, ended up a 10 runs rally in the 5th, to lead the Saltillo team to a 12-2 win, over Puebla.
Reliever pitcher Jose Luis Garcia (1-1), got the win, while Renan Martinez (0-1), took the loss

Toros, got two on Sunday´s doubleheader, taking Laguna´s Cowboys with a scores of 4-1 and 2-0.
A walk off, 3 runs HR by Derrick White (3)was all they needed to win the first game, having in Julio Cesar Parra (3-1) the winning pitcher, and Emiliano Giron (1-4), the loser.
In the second game, Alonso Beltran´s, 3 hits shutout for his first win after 3 losses, led the Toros to a 2-0 win, helped by Darryl Brinley´s home run, his 6th of the season.

YUCATAN DEFEATED OAXACA 2 TWICE
Yucatan Lions got on Oaxaca Warriors, twice by a scores of 11-8 and 2-1..
In the first game,an 8 runs rally in the 4th, led by RBI singles by, Said Gutierrez,Luis Borges,Luis Arredondo,Jose Herrera, Osvaldo Morejon and Hector Castañeda.
Gary Espadas (1-1), the winner and Eleazar Mora (1-2), the loser, Roberto Mendez hit his 3rd HR of the season, for Oaxaca.
In the second game,Eduardo Diaz GWRBI gave the Lions a walk off win 2-1, while Felix Tejeda (1-0) in relief took the win, and also reliever, Eduardo Neri (0-1), took the loss.

Steelers defeated the Railroadmen, 5-3 and 2-1, Alex Carrasco (3-2) the winnner, and Marcos Diaz (1-1), the loser.Maximo de la Rosa got the save (8)
A two runs double by Sergio Palafox and the 4th, drove home the winning runs, when game was tied at 3 runs, as as result of a 3 runs triple by Willie Romero.
For the second game,Adrian Ramirez (4-0) and Maximo de la Rosa , ninth save,combined to get a 2-1 win.. Abraham Elvira (1-4), Narciso´s brother took the loss.

CAMPECHE PIRATES AND RED DEVILS SPLITS
Former Milwaukee LHP Narciso Elvira (2-1), in his returning to Mexican league after playing some seasons in Japan, tossed a solid pitching to beat the Mexico City Red Devils, by a score of 3-1.
Elvira, allowed only two hits, in completing the game, Claudio Moreno (0-1) was the losing pitcher.
Julio Mosquera did it again and led the bucaneer offesive, driving in two important runs
In the second, former major leaguer Roberto Ramirez (Pirates, San Diego), got supported by a 2 runs HR by Venezuelan Pedro Castellano, got the win (4-1), and showed that he is recovering well from an elbow surgery.
Danny McGee, got the loss (1-1), and Pirates scored their only run by a solo shot by Ruben Rivera (3)
