Taiwan Baseball News: Lions Getting Hot Pitching From Foreigners

China Trust Whales 0 President Lions 5
The President Lions received a solid pitching performance for the second night in a row as they shutout the China Trust Whales by a score of 5-0 at Tainan Stadium in front of 1,857 fans.
John Frascatore (4-2-0) held the Whales to eight hits and no runs over eight solid innings of work to pick up the win. He struck out 11 batters and was named the Game's MVP. Two nights ago, fellow American native John Burgos helped the Lions beat the Whales 2-1 in a well pitched game.
Japanese second baseman Hiroaki Yoshimi went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and one RBI for the Leos while designated hitter Ming-ching Luo launched his first home run of the 2003 Chinese Professional Baseball League season, a solo blast, to finish the evening 2-for-4.
Whales starter Chao-jee Sooh (3-4-0) surrendered two runs, both of them earned, on two hits and four walks in 2 1/3 innings to pick up the loss. Designated hitter Han-chou Tseng went 2-for-4 for the squad while catcher Chin-sou Shin had a hit in a pinch-hit at-bat.
Leos closer Jung-yang Tsao preserved the shutout for Frascatore as he pitched one inning of scoreless baseball. Tsao scattered one hit and fanned one batter.
