Taiwan Baseball News: Yang Puts Fright Into Elephants

Sinon Bulls 5 Brother Elephants 3
Chien-fu Yang pitched seven strong innings last night at Shingcung Stadium before a crowd of 7,000 as the Sinon Bulls beat the Brother Elephants 5-3.
Yang (4-0-0) surrendered three runs, two of them earned, on seven hits and one walk en route to being named the Game's MVP for his efforts. He struck out seven batters.
Bulls third baseman Tai-shan Chang went 2-for-4 with a walk and one run scored while short stop Jau-han Cheng, batting behind Chang in the starting lineup, finished the evening 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run plated and two RBIs. Right fielder Jia-hao Chang went 2-for-4.
Japanese native Shin Nakagomi (7-8-0) picked up the loss for the Elephants as he gave up four runs, all earned, on ten hits in six frames of work.
For the Elephants, third baseman Huai-shan Chen went 2-for-4 and second baseman Shun-shian Fong had a 2-for-3 performance with a run batted in.
Two night ago, the Bulls squeezed past the Elephants by a score of 6-5. Tonight, the Bulls will take on the Elephants again at Shingcung Stadium (6:35 p.m., Taiwan time) before concluding this five-game series with two more games.
