Sinon Bulls 2 President Lions 5

John Frascatore came to the rescue of the President Lions as the former Major Leaguer went eight solid innins, surrendering two earned runs on five hits to beat the Sinon Bulls 5-2 at Tainan Stadium in front of 3,003 fans last night.

Frascatore struck out three batters and walked none as he was named the Game's MVP. Newly acquired right-hander Jose Parra got his first save of the season.

The Lions got off to a quick 1-0 start before adding four more in the bottom half of the fifth inning to hand Bulls starter Jeffrey Andra his first loss of the season. Andra was 12-0-0 heading into the game but lost big last night as he gave up five earned runs on seven hits.

Designated hitter Cheng-shian Chen went 2-for-4 with a run scored and another driven in for the Leos while right fielder Lien-Chen Hung finished at 1-for-4 with an RBI triple that plated two runs. Catcher Chih-cheng Tseng finished the evening 2-for-3 with a run scored.
