Taiwan Baseball News: Who Watches These Games?

Makoto Gida 4 First Securities Agan 3
In a battle of virtually the two worst teams in the Chinese Professional Baseball League last night at Kaoshung Stadium, the Makoto Gida came out on top by a score of 4-3 over the First Securities Agan behind the pitching of Game MVP Ming-chin Lee.
Lee threw the ball well for six innings as he surrendered two runs, both earned, on seven hits. He walked one and struck out four batters en route to improving to 5-4-0. American native Bobby Munoz gave up an earned run but picked up his seventh save of the year.
Right fielder Cheng-han Wu went 2-for-4 with one run scored and another driven in for the Gida while first baseman Jia-hsian Hsieh launched a solo home run off Agan reliever Wen-hsiung Hsu, his 11th of the 2003 season. Hsieh finished 2-for-5 with two runs scored and one RBI.
For the losing Agan, left fielder Long-yi Huang finished the evening 2-for-4 with a double and two runs plated. First baseman Hung-jeh Tsai went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
Gabriel Ozura started for the Agan but left after 1 1/3 innings after giving up an earned run on two hits and one walk. Hsu then came in and provided seven innings of long-relief in which he gave up three earned runs on six hits and six walks.
