Blue Jays Sign Catalanotto, reported by Bart Ewing

Yesterday the Toronto Blue Jays signed Frank Catalanotto.

This could be a very valuable pickup. The 28 year old super sub is entering his prime years coming off a injury plagued year in 2002 where he still hit over .270. Catalanotto is only a year removed from .330 11 homers and 15 steals. There will be plenty of opportunity to play. Young players like Orlando Hudson will have a safety net as Cat can play 5 different positions plus DH. I think he can get 500 at bats and hit over .300 for starters. If you can get him for under $10 he may pay double.
