Hot Shots....

Norihiro Nakamura is waiting for offers from MLB teams, but he is out of his mind if he thinks they will offer him anything approaching what Hanshin is willing to give him....Daiei Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh says that he wants his prize draftee, Tsuyoshi Wada, to aim for 15 victories and the Rookie of the Year award in his first season even though he also claimed he wasn't attemping to put pressure on the lefthander.... Oh also proposed at a meeting of the 12 Japanese pro managers that free agent acquisitions be limited to one per team....If they can sign him before he decides to head off to Tokai University, number one Swallows draft choice Yuhei Takai will wear Kazuhisa Ishii's old number, 16, next season....Makoto Suzuki says that four MLB clubs have sent out feelers to him despite his being drafted on the second round by Orix.... The Yokohama Bay Stars say that since Roberto Petagine is going to sign with Yomiuri, they will now see if Tsuyoshi Shinjo would be interested in joining them. The team had tried to pick him up before the "young prince" opted to go to the Mets.
